أطلقت بلدية جورة الترمس مسابقة هندسة معمارية بالتعاون مع أعرق الجامعات اللبنانية لبناء قصرها البلدي الجديد النموذجي بأحدث التصاميم والمعاير العالمية الصديقة للبيئة.
وبعد تقديم الفرق المشاركة تصاميمها النهائية، تمّ اختيار خمسة تصاميم للتأهل إلى المرحلة النهائية التي جرت يوم الأربعاء الفائت الواقع في ١٠ تموز ٢٠١٩ تحت إشراف مهندسي البلدية وتم خلالها عرض التصاميم على لجنة التحكيم بحضور رئيس البلدية النقيب شربل قرقماز ورئيسة دائرة التنظيم المدني في كسروان المهندسة جوزيت عواد وأعضاء البلدية،

وقد فاز كل من:
- الجائزة الأولى: المهندس "رشيد حاتم" (THC 1908)
- الجائزة الثانية: المهندسان "أنطوني زغيب" و "سيمون كعدي" (THC 1921)
- الجائزة الثالثة: المهندس "رامي أبي انطون" (THC 1920)

The final jury for the competition for a New Town Hall for the Municipality of Jouret el Termos in the Caza of Keserwan was held on Wednesday July 10, 2019 under the supervision of the Municipal Engineers. The architect Rashid Hatem won the first prize, while the second place went to Anthony Zgheib & Simone Kehde, and third place to Ramy Abi Antoun.
The jury, composed of Elie Haddad, Jean Pierre Asmar, Alphonse Kai, Maroun Lahoud and Marwan Zouain, appreciated in Hatem's proposal its sensitive integration into the site, as well as its resourceful resolution of all functional requirements, in a project that mediates between the regional character of the context and the requirements of a new town hall. Its restrained aesthetic, which avoids the literal imitation of historic types as well as the overtly stylistic contemporary interpretations, was also well appreciated.
The initiative of the Mayor of Jouret el Termos, and its municipal council, was well appreciated by the jury, in offering this opportunity to young architects to present their ideas, and allowing them to develop their skills and capacities. The jury was attended, as well, by the Mayor Mr. Charbel Korkmaz, in addition to Mrs. Josette Aouad head of the Urban Planning Department in Kesserwan], and the municipal council members.
